Heavy Duty Automatic Booklet Making Systems
The Kasfold Automatic Booklet Maker is an easy machine to operate. The booklet making cycle starts once a set of
up to 25 sheets and a card cover is fed into the bookletmaker The bookletmaking cycle is totally automated leaving the operator's hands free to prepare the next set.
Once loaded into the booklet maker the set is jogged from both sides, centre stapled, folded and the front
edge is trimmed if required. A high-capacity stacker conveyor delivers the
finished booklets. The optional on-line trimmer attachment can be used to save hours
of wasted time trimming booklets using a conventional guillotine.
Each booklet is clamped and the scissor-action knife
trims the booklet perfectly. The trimmer is an optional extra which can be added to the Kasfold
at a later date.
Features of the Kasfold Booklet Makers
- Automatic operation, 5000 staple capacity cartridge,
- Variable stapling positions, including corner and edge stapling,
- Double sided jogging and low staple warning.
The Kasfold range of booklet makers requires no special operating skills and may produce professionally finished A6 to A4 booklets at the rate of up to 1500 per hour from A5 to A3 paper sizes.
Booklets can be made with up to 25 sheets of 80gsm paper producing a total of 100 pages, meeting virtually all of today's bookletmaking requirements. To further simplify the bookletmaking procedure KAS have designed
- a motorised jogger/conveyor link enabling the Kasfold range HCS to be used on-line with the majority of vertical table-top collators currently available.
- An on-line spine press that enhances the appearance of the finished book
- an on-line trimmer that removes the feathered edge of a booklet
KAS also produce a range of simple to use, low cost, off-line collators that can be set to supply collated sets at a speed to suit the Kasfold Bookletmaker operator.
