Features of Mailmaster Range of Envelope Inserters

One special adaptation that the company has is a special cheque book inserter, which is of course ideal for banks.

KAS also has its standard range of equipment, which includes the Mailmaster 465HS and 565HS and C4 Compact insert models. The 465HS inserts into envelopes between DL and oversize C4 with a maximum thickness of 15mm. It feeds documentation up to A4 in size including single or multiple automated feeders with or without OMR or Bar Code readers. All feeders are top load, bottom feed, so that they can be continuously loaded without stopping the machine. Control is via an easy to use touch screen and the machine can produce up to 6000 complete envelopes per hour.

The 565HS inserter handles envelopes from DL to C5 at speeds of up to 7200 inserts per hour. Operation is via a touch screen control system, which provides station selection, error location and run information. The units durable construction means that it is especially well suited to long runs, but it's ease of use and quick changeover times means that it can also be efficient for short run work. The 565HS is available with either three or six side inserter feeders. These include a booklet feeder, which can handle items up to 5mm thick. there is also a hand feed position and a choice of end feeders within an integral folder up to a sophisticated fast sheet feeder with folding capacity which also has OMR and Bar Code readers.

The Mailmaster C4 Compact is a cost effective DL to C4 production envelope inserter, with a compact footprint which would fit into an office  environment as well as a commercial production unit. Constructed to handle large volumes, but designed for easy set up and quick changeover from one job to another to make it equally suitable for short run work. Three automatic feeders and a handfeed position are provided as standard. The prime document feeder has an integral folder. Two insert stations handle a wide variety of documents.

The Mailmasters versatility is enhanced by the fact that many collecting or bookmaking systems, continuous forms cutter and documents producing equipment such as laser printers can be placed in-line. The Mailmaster receives the document from the in-line equipment and adds inserts as necessary before enveloping.
